The gastronomy of our city of iquitos is considered one of the best. Our gastronomy has different typical dishes mixed with its very traditional flavors, with ingredients and spices of the region. Its food is valued as a tourist and economic attraction. It has a range of exotic flavors influenced by its location in the Peruvian amazon.
TACACHO
Tacacho is a typical dish of Peruvian cuisine originating from the Peruvian jungle area and widely spread throughout the rest of the country. For the preparation of the tacacho we need green banana roasted, cooked or Fried, which is crushed and mixed with oil or lard and salt to taste.
TACACHO WITH CECINA
The tacacho can be accompanied by different types of meat the most common is to be accompanied with cecina this is a dried pork meat, and also with cocona salad.
TACACHO WITH CHICKEN STEAK
The tacacho can also be accompanied by a delicious steak of chicken, to cook the steak of chicken is heated well griddle or pan, without any oil.

EATING HABITS
We start the day with a good breakfast as it is one of the most important meals of the day, usually we have oats with chocolate and our bread with avocado you other accompaniment. During the course of the morning I eat a fruit. At lunch we have different food dishes one of my favorite is the green noodles with grilled chicken and his passion fruit soda. At dinner we eat very lightly, sometimes a tea or pineapple juice with toasted bread or scrambled egg.
